Bike Frames
Bike frames basically make up the body of each bicycle. In other words, they are the part that is not the wheels, pedals, handlebars or seat. Bike frames provide the main support structure. They can be purchased separately, but more typically are purchased as part of the larger bicycle package.
There are actually several components that make up bike frames. There is the top tube, which is the horizontal part that runs toward the top of the frame. The head tube then holds the handlebars and goes down to the fork at the front of the bike, while the fork is attached to the wheel. Finally, the down tube is a diagonal bar that goes down to the chain wheel from just below the head tube. The seat tube finishes the design off by running from the saddle link down to the chain wheel.
Bike frames also are the most memorable part of your appearance standpoint. They can be customized with paint or other accessorizing in order to give your bike a distinctive look. It is also worth knowing that the above description applies to the majority of bikes frames, but there are of course variations, especially once people start customizing their bikes.
